So, let me get this right…In order to stay in a hotel or motel in Reno, I now have to be listed by name on the room registration and provide identification to police officers upon their request (to prove that I have a right to be there), or they can arrest me? How is this legal? The city doesn’t own these hotels/motels. So, how can the police require that I show them I.D., and then tell me whether or not I can stay as a guest in those hotels/motels based on whether my name is listed or not?

@rabidgnome1 #1) I worked in Reno as Armed Security for 12 years. #2) Only one of my questions was a Yes or No question. #3) All of them were rhetorical. Everything about Reno Police being involved with this Code Enforcement sweep, is unconstitutional. They used the guise of acting as Code Enforcement to get around the 4th Amendment which requires a written warrant, signed by a judge, to enter and search private property.
